Activated carbon/quartz sand filter

Description

Equipment Introduction
Quartz sand filter is generally used as a pretreatment for reverse osmosis equipment and ultrafiltration equipment, mainly to intercept and adsorb silt, colloids, metal ions and organic matter. Common filter materials include quartz sand, activated carbon, anthracite, manganese sand, etc. It is widely used in agricultural irrigation, chemical industry, petroleum, metallurgy, mining and other industries.

Working principle
The operation of high-efficiency continuous filter can be divided into two relatively independent and simultaneous processes: raw water filtration and filter material cleaning and regeneration. The two are completed at different positions of the same filter. The former relies on high head difference or pump lifting, while the latter is completed by compressed air.
The quartz sand filter uses one or several filter media, operates at room temperature, is acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, and oxidized, and has a pH range of 2-13. The system is equipped with complete protection devices and monitoring instruments, and has a backwashing function. Contaminants such as dirt are quickly washed away, with low water consumption. The fully automatic function can be set according to user requirements. Under a certain pressure, the raw liquid is flocculated, adsorbed, and intercepted by the medium to remove impurities, thereby achieving the purpose of filtration. The fillers inside are generally: quartz sand, anthracite, granular porous ceramics, manganese sand, etc. Users can choose to use according to actual conditions. Its filtration accuracy is between 0.005-0.01m, which can effectively remove colloidal particles and high molecular organic matter.
Activated carbon filters are mainly used to adsorb free chlorine in water (adsorption capacity up to 99%), and also have a high removal rate for organic matter and color. It is a pretreatment equipment for the pure water process of softening and desalination systems. The filter material is activated carbon. The main materials of the equipment are carbon steel anti-corrosion, fiberglass and stainless steel.

Scope of application
(1) Used for industrial water, domestic water and municipal water supply systems that require the effluent turbidity ≤5mg/L to meet the drinking water quality standards;
(2) Removal of suspended matter and solid matter in industrial wastewater;
(3) It can be used as pretreatment equipment in ion exchange softening and desalination systems, and coarse filtration equipment for industrial water supply with low water quality requirements;
and used in swimming pool circulation treatment systems, cooling circulation water purification systems, etc.
Scope of use
The operation of the quartz sand filter can be automatically controlled, with high filtration efficiency, low resistance, large processing flow and few backwash times. It is widely used in the pretreatment of pure water, food and beverage water, mineral water and water quality in the electronics, printing and dyeing, papermaking, and chemical industries, and the filtration of industrial sewage after secondary treatment. It is also used for deep filtration of reclaimed water reuse systems and swimming pool circulating water treatment systems. It also has a good removal effect on suspended solids in industrial wastewater.
1. It is mainly used for water treatment turbidity removal, softening water, electrodialysis, and reverse osmosis pretreatment. It can also be used for surface water, groundwater, etc. It can effectively remove suspended solids, organic matter, colloids, sediment, etc. in water.
2. It can be widely used in electronics and electricity, petrochemicals, metallurgy electroplating, papermaking and textiles, pharmaceutical dialysis, food and beverages, drinking water, factory and enterprise water, swimming pools, etc. It can meet the liquid filtration needs of various industries.
